與醫師對話-為何夏天飲很多水仍不解渴?

問:醫師,最近天氣很熱,出汗很多,空氣濕度雖高,已經飲很多水,但仍覺口乾唇燥、小便黃、大便甚至乾硬,為什麼呢?

答:因為「夏至」已過,即已踏入盛夏,氣溫升高,「小暑」將至,天氣更趋炎熱,雨水漸多。在戶外活動時間應該減少,如不能避免,亦應減少暴曬於烈日之下。天氣酷熱,身體似置於焗爐內,體內溫度升高,出汗量增多,體內水份蒸發,不斷飲水仍未能補足流失之水份,所以仍覺口乾舌燥、小便黃大便乾,頭髮皮膚亦會乾燥。這時期除多飲水外,可多吃蔬菜水果補充水份,亦可食用消暑祛濕之湯水,例如冬瓜、薏米、赤小豆、扁豆、茯苓、荷葉等,清熱解暑,降低體內溫度濕氣,亦要注要進食不過量,盡量減少生冷,以免傷及脾胃,脾胃功能失調,清熱及化濕有障礙。

飲食須要注要,天氣炎熱,容易過食生冷,況夏天瓜菜偏多寒涼,烹煮宜適量加薑,養生有「冬食蘿蔔夏食薑」的智慧。清熱祛濕之後多飲暖水,補充利尿之後體內水份的流失。近多月來人們長時間佩帶口罩,飲水不方便;或在室內長期處於冷氣間,亦是體內缺水的其中原因。

而在「小暑」之後不久就是「三伏天」的日子,「夏至」至「處暑」之間為陽氣最盛、天氣最熱的時間,故三伏天就取其「春夏養陽」、「冬病夏治」之利。
